Understanding the Process: Psychological Assessment and Treatment
I understand the challenges of starting therapy, and I recognise it is hard to take that first step. My approach is centered around personalised, sensitive, and compassionate care, ensuring that you feel heard, supported, and safe throughout your therapeutic journey.
When you contact me, please give me a brief summary of the challenges and difficulties you are facing. After this, we will decide how best for us to move forward. For example, we may agree to have a 15 minutes phone conversation to discuss your main difficulties and whether I am the right Clinical Psychologist to support you. During this process, I will email you further information about my service, and if we agree to work together, we will arrange to meet again to complete a psychological assessment. You will be asked to complete a registration form with your personal details before our first assessment session.
This assessment can take a few sessions to complete, depending on the nature of your difficulties. We will talk about your general background, including your personal life, work, health, and coping skills. Each session will be for 50 minutes.
Following the assessment, if therapy is recommended, we will make a plan to commence psychological therapy. We will decide how often we are going to meet and how many sessions you may need.
Each remote/video session fee is £120, and face to face session is £130; each session is for 50-minutes.
